Maersk’s First Warehouse in France Now Fully Operational, Supporting Global E-Commerce
Maersk has announced the successful launch of its first warehouse in France, a 75,000 m² facility located in Denain, Northern France. This warehouse, part of the GLP Park Denain logistics hub, provides fulfillment services to one of the world’s leading e-commerce companies, marking a significant milestone for Maersk in the French market.
Strategically positioned in the Hauts-de-France region, one of Europe’s key logistics centers, the facility is near Lille, with excellent connectivity via 12 motorways and rail links. Its location at the intersection of the A2 and A21 motorways—just 109 km from Brussels and 198 km from Paris—and along the Grand Canal de l’Escaut, offers optimal accessibility.
“The go-live of this new facility marks a true milestone for Maersk in France, bringing our contract logistics and warehousing capabilities in this key European market to a completely new level. We are delighted to now have our anchor customer as we jointly develop solutions that make a difference both to them and to their end customers,” said Michele Cohonner, Regional Head of Maersk Contract Logistics in Europe.
The state-of-the-art warehouse, which has earned BREEAM Very Good certification, boasts 85 doors, a beam height of 11.40 meters, a floor load of 5 t/m², and a truck yard spanning 35 meters. It also features Autodocks, an automated docking system, and separate circulation paths for heavy goods and light vehicles.
This facility is Maersk’s 15th in Europe, further expanding its global network of warehouses. It follows the opening of a Fredericia, Denmark warehouse in the summer of 2024.

The new warehouse underscores Maersk’s dedication to enhancing its contract logistics and distribution services, strengthening its footprint in a vital European market.
