In another major step toward sustainable maritime operations, MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company has taken delivery of the MSC GRACE, the tenth LNG dual-fuel 16,000 TEU container vessel built by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group’s Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding. The vessel has now set sail for operational deployment.

Measuring approximately 366 meters in overall length and 51 meters in beam, the MSC GRACE features state-of-the-art energy-saving technologies, including shaft generators, air lubrication systems, rudder bulbs, and twisted blades. Its dual-fuel main engine utilizes ECOEGR optimization, ensuring compliance with IMO Tier III emission standards while improving fuel efficiency.

Like the eighth vessel in the series, MSC GRACE is also equipped with a wind deflector system, reducing air resistance during navigation and cutting overall fuel consumption and carbon emissions — reinforcing MSC’s commitment to greener, more efficient shipping.

Construction began in October 2024, with the vessel launched in July 2025 and successfully completing sea trials in October 2025. Following the naming ceremony on October 8 and delivery on October 29, MSC continues to strengthen its environmentally friendly fleet and leadership in sustainable global trade.
